Behind This Caesars Windsor Guide

This independent guide covers Caesars Windsor and is aimed at visitors crossing over from Detroit. Its editorial desk, the Crossing Desk, signs the content, and the guide accepts no bets and does not open accounts.

By the Crossing DeskChecked October 9, 2026

One desk, no byline

The Crossing Desk is the editorial desk that writes and signs this guide. No author is named. The guide is not Caesars Windsor, not Caesars Entertainment and not OLG.

Those two run the casino: Caesars Entertainment operates it on behalf of OLG, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. No bets are accepted here, and no accounts are opened.

Checked, and left out

The facts in this guide date from a check made on October 9, 2026. The checks drew on OLG, the AGCO, ConnexOntario, iGaming Ontario, the regional tourism board and the casino's own pages. Local news was used for the tunnel bus and the garage. Distances from towns such as LaSalle or Leamington are straight lines between OpenStreetMap points, and roads are longer.

Some things are left out on purpose. Border documents are one: the Canada Border Services Agency sets the rules for entering Canada, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection sets them for entering the United States. Fares, prices and show dates do not appear either. For the Colosseum, the schedule is on the casino's own website.

Paid links on the home page

Only the home page of windsorcasino.online carries paid links, and an Ad tag marks each one. Those links sit in three places on windsorcasino.online: a menu button, a block once the first screen ends, and a block close to the page bottom. The partner behind all three links is one privately run online casino, and it pays this guide a commission. The Crossing Desk does not name that operator, and the guide may replace it later. The guide makes no promise about it, and any site can be checked in the iGO directory at igamingontario.ca.

About the images

Most pictures are generated images, all without people. The river at dawn, the bus shelter, the garage and the wallet are invented scenes. Two generated ones show the hotel: a pool deck window and a guest room with two beds. They were built from real photographs, with a new angle and hour, so they resemble photographs but remain generated.

Ken Lund's view of Caesars Windsor from Detroit (CC BY-SA 2.0) and Yavno's statue of Caesar in the rotunda (public domain) are real photographs. The Crossing Desk edited both, with credits under Image sources below.

Image sources

  • Caesars Windsor across the river from Detroit (Leg 2, the tunnel): photograph by Ken Lund, CC BY-SA 2.0, file on Wikimedia Commons. Edited by the Crossing Desk: boat removed, the video screen blanked, blue-hour light, cropped. The edited version is shared under the same CC BY-SA 2.0 licence.
  • Statue of Caesar in the casino rotunda (Leg 3, the doors): photograph by Yavno, public domain, file on Wikimedia Commons. Edited by the Crossing Desk: old carpet replaced with the pattern now laid on the casino floor, noise removed.

What the site keeps

No logins, forms or ad trackers here. Each page view is counted without a cookie, page title included, and a separate tally service gets the IP address and browser type. Readers may choose a light or dark display, and the setting lasts only for the open browser tab; once that tab is closed, it is gone.
